This English Staffordshire Blue & White Transfer Printed Tureen & Cover dates from circa 1830.

It is decorated with a Chinese-inspired scene as conjured up byt the Staffordshire Potter’s imagination. It is unmarked.

There are no cracks or restoration. There is an old, thin surface chip to the underside of the lid and some small glaze nicks to the ladle aperture and the rim.
