UNUSUAL MINTON HOLLY AND MISTLETOE TEA CADDY c1880

This unusual Minton Tea Caddy, modelled as a Parcel of Tea and handpainted with Holly and Mistletoe, dates from circa 1880.

It bears the impressed Minton mark to the base and a date cipher which, although lightly impressed, is a triangular shape.  There is also a number 1471.

The painted decoration is delightful, evoking  thoughts of Winter and Christmas, with sprays of Holly and Mistletoe.
The condition is good.  There are no cracks, chips or restoration.
