This Victorian Staffordshire Dog, with Lion’s Mane and Flower Basket, dates from circa 1860.

He stands approximately 4 inches (10 cm) high.

The detail and definition of the Lion’s Mane is notable.

There is a small hole to the right of the basket which has occured during the making and a small chip to the back foot. There is no restoration.
