RARE ROYAL ANMER HALL NORFOLK POST BAG c1860
£395.00
This rare Leather Post Bag from Anmer Hall, Norfolk, dates from circa 1860.
The Brass Clasp is engraved H.W. COLDHAM, ESQ ANMER. Henry William COLDHAM, who died in 1871, owned Anmer Hall, the Country House his Father had built on land which had been in the family since the 17th Century. The Hall was subsequently purchased by The Royal Family and became incorporated within the Sandringham Estate.
Of course, it is now the home of The Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Kate, and their family, George, Charlotte and Louis.
The Bag, which has an adjustable shoulder strap, has characterful signs of wear and the clasp no longer locks.
A rare chance to own an historic piece with present day Royal connections.
Bag Size: 10.25 inches (26.5 cm) by 9 inches (23 cm) excluding strap.
