This SPECIMEN TABLE TOP, dating from circa 1880, bears the label of JEWELL & SONS of CHRISTCHURCH, NEW ZEALAND.
The top is mounted on a later EDWARDIAN OAK base.
The polish work on the top is unrestored. The veneers are flat and in good condition.
