This beautiful Pair of English Porcelain Handpainted Bird Plates date from circa 1860 and were made by Samuel Alcock of Burslem, Staffordshire.
The Birds are named on the back of the Plates – Goldfinch and Bulfinch (sic).
The pierced borders are decorated with gilt on a baby blue ground.
The condition is good with no restoration.
Diameter: 9 inches (23 cm)
