This Fine Large Blue & White Pottery Platter, decorated with the Wild Rose Pattern, dates from circa 1830.  It is one of the best examples to be found,

It has a liquid glaze (please see close up photographs) and a clear, well-detailed transfer.

The Pattern is illustrated in Coysh & Henrywood’s Dictionary of Blue & White Pattern Pottery Vol 1 Page 399.  It is taken from an engraving published in 1811 of Nuneham Courtenay, SE of Oxford, the Seat of Earl Harcourt and noted as one of the finest examples of landscape gardens in England at the time,
