EARLY 19th CENTURY POTTERY FIGURE OF SOUTER JOHNNIE

£345.00

SKU: 1415

This Early 19th Century Pottery Figure of Souter Johnnie, drinking partner of Tam O’Shanter, dates from circa 1830.

The Figure is pleasingly painted with bright colours and a plaid-effect jacket.

The right hand of Souter Johnnie has been reglued but there is no restoration or overpainting to the Figure.  There are glaze chips to the hat, a chip (mostly to the inside) and nicks to the foot rim and an old, short hairline to the inside of the base.

A lovely Figure which displays beautifully.

Height:  5 inches (12.5 cm)

Delivery within the UK is included.  We are happy to quote for Overseas Shipping on request.
