This Rare Crimean War Staffordshire Figure dates from circa 1860.

It depicts a Young Sailor returning victorious from the Crimean War, flag in hand. His Young Sweetheart is seated. Y his side holding a large sheaf of corn, a symbol of fertile abundance and a prosperous future.

In good condition with no restoration.

This Figure is illustrated in A and N Harding’s Victorian Staffordshire Figures Book One Page 239 Figure 842.
