This Set of part gilded Brass Postal Scales were manufactured by Joseph and Edmund Ratcliff of Birmingham circa 1850 and bear their names around the stem.

Designed in the form of a Candlestick, these Letter Scales weigh up to 2 ounces and are also graded for the cost, 1d to 4d.

In good original condition. The spring works easily.
