GLASS ‘GELATINE’ APOTHECARY JAR AND COVER c1880

This very decorative Antique Glass Apothecary Jar and Cover date from circa 1880. The Jar is reverse painted and bears the name ‘Gelatine’ in gilt.

It has its original gilded glass cover which remains bright and glowing. There is a good pontil mark to the base of the Jar.

The condition is good. There are no cracks. There is some wear to the blue ground in the centre of the cartouche.
