This beautiful Burmantofts Art Pottery Oedestal stands an impressive 35.5 inches (90 cm) tall.  It is fully marked to the inside of the base with the Burmantofts Monogram and the Pattern Number 2038D, dating it to circa 1890.

The Pedestal epitomises Burnabtofts use of liquid glazes, fess-spirited design and vibrant colours.  It lends itself for use in many forms – as a means of displaying lamps, vases, sculptures or flora.

The Pedestal is in good condition with no restoration, just an old, thin, surface chip to the foot rim which is photographed.
