UNUSUAL VICTORIAN BRASS & COPPER SNUFF SHOE

This unusual and craftsman-made Copper and Brass Snuff Box, in the form of a Lady’s Shoe, dates from circa 1880.

As well as the usual hinged lid to the top of the shore there is an ingenious ‘secret’ compartment in the heel which is opened by carefully lifting the copper and brass hinged heel cap.

The Shoe is in original condition and both hinged work well. There is a small piece of missing brass to the top of the shoe’s tongue.
