TWO 19thC CHINESE PITH/RICE PAINTINGS

These Two Chinese Pith or Rice Paper Paintings, of women in traditional dress, date from circa 1880.  The frames would seem to be of the same period.

The lady on the right is wearing a green, floor-length robe with a red hooded cape.  The Lady on the left is wearing a blue tunic over a long skirt.  She is carrying a circular, red container.  A blossom tree is in flower behind her.  There is some old damage to this painting which can be seen beneath the container.

The frames differ slightly in size.  The larger frame measures 7.5 inches (19 cm by 9.5 inches (24 cm).
