TALL 19th CENTURY BRASS TRIVET

This well-balanced, sturdy Brass Fireside Trivet dates from circa 1880. It stands 12.75 inches (32.5 cm) high and has well-spread feet which gives it great stability.

Originally used in a fireside hearth to keep pots and kettles warm, it would serve well as a small coffee table beside a chair.

The brass has developed a lovely, smooth finish over the years.
