REGENCY MAHOGANY SABRE LEG FOOT STOOL

This elegant and unusual Regency Mahogany Foot Stool, standing on four well-swept sabre legs, dates from circa 1820.

The sweep of the legs is carried on to support a wonderful pair of turned mahogany carrying handles.

The blue plush velvet (not Dralon) and contrasting scroll gimp work so well, the Stool has not been freshly recovered.  The Velvet is a lovely rich blue and is in good condition.
