MASON’S PATENT IRONSTONE TUREEN, COVER & STAND c1820

This eye-catching Antique Mason’s Patent Ironstone Tureen, with its original Cover and Stand, dates from circa 1820.

It bears the Mason’s Patent Ironstone Factory Mark to the base of both the Tureen and Stand.

The colours are vibrant and the pattern, known as ‘Japan’ is full of artistic freedom.

The condition is good.  There is no restoration.  There is a small, surface chip to the outside of the rim of the Tureen (please see photograph), some minor wear and kiln fritting.

This Tureen has lead a charmed life as all the three pieces have stayed together for around 200 years.
