This original Heal’s Oak Stool, with the inset label for Heal & Son Ltd, London W, dates from circa 1920.

It has been professionally re-webbed and, what I believe to be, the original fabric has been retained.  This fabric shows signs of wear and it is a matter of personal ch9ice whether it is replaced. It could be used as a template for either a needlework replacement or in choosing a sympathetic, new fabric.

The Stool is strong and sturdy.
